Why Did You Start Doing Hair?
I have always enjoyed working with people. I love to talk to people, hear their stories and life experiences. I like making a connection with others. I also enjoy being creative and starting with one look and having unlimited possibilities to go to from there. Doing hair allows me to have both of those things in one! I’ve loved every step of my career.
I graduated in 2010 from Paul Mitchell The School Springfield. But, that was only the beginning of education for me! Since then I have trained extensively in and out of the country with some of the best educators in the industry. I have attended Paul Mitchell’s international hairshow The Gathering, The Business of Balayage, The Goonies, Shannon Holbeen Keel (The Hairdoo Chick), and many other classes. I strive to have the latest knowledge on products, techniques, and trends. Continuing my education is not only a requirement at Indie Blue, but something that I believe wholeheartedly in!

One word: OLAPLEX. It is the game changer of all products! Whether your hair needs some extra shine, needs to be repaired, or maybe you just want more longevity in your color… Olaplex can do all of those things. It is also wonderful when the hair is undergoing a big change and needs to be protected. I love the product because of its versatility, and how incredible it makes the hair look and feel!

Texture Spray: Colorproof Texture Charged Spray
Volumizing Product: Colorproof Super Plump Thickening Spray
Smoothing Product: Colorproof Plush Locks Leave-In Smooth, and Moroccan Oil Blow Dry Concentrate
Why Indie Blue?
We are a family at Indie Blue! We genuinely enjoy eachother’s company, we love our guests, and what we do as stylists. I wanted to be a part of a team that is passionate about the industry, continuing education, and growing together. And that’s exactly what Indie Blue is all about.
What are you doing when you are not at Indie Blue?
My other passion in life is travel! Some of my favorite places that I have traveled to are New Zealand, the Pacific Northwest, and Brooklyn. I want to see as much of the world as possible! I have also spent the past year+ training in aerial and circus arts (aerial silks, aerial hammock, lyra, duo silks)! It is challenging and I love the art form. I like to go rock climbing, bouldering and go hiking when I have time outside of everything else!
