Why did you start doing hair?
I can remember one night at my friends house we were sitting around watching styling tutorials on YouTube and my best friends mom wished she knew how to do the style in the video. I watched it a couple more times, grabbed her little sister and started recreating the style for her. Once I was finished her mom put a bug in my ear about how I should really be using my talent and become a stylist. This bug followed me around for years until, finally, a couple months after my daughter was born. I decided I wanted my daughter to always know I enjoy what I do and she can always too.
When I graduated from Paul Mitchell the School of Springfield my education didn't stop there. The Paul Mitchell family is huge on sharing and continuing education after your schooling in finished. That being said, I've had the chance to learn tips and tricks from all the girls at the salon as well as other local salon owners.
Olaplex, Olaplex, Olaplex! Although, it is more of a treatment than a product I can't help but fall in love with something that saves the integrity of your hair while getting chemical services done. For Paul Mitchell products I'd have to lean towards the Awapuhi Wild Ginger Hydromist Blowout Spray and the Maurla 3 in 1 Styling Cream. These two products together make for a flawless blowout.
Why Indie Blue Salon?
I know this might sound cheesy but the second you walk through our doors you can just tell we all enjoy working together and what we do. That fun, loving spirit along with how truly talented these girls are make choosing Indie Blue a no brainier.
What are you doing when you are not at Indie Blue?
Outside of Indie Blue I always have my amazing daughter, Emma Grace. Her favorite phrase right now is, "Wassat?" Meaning, "What's that?" So if you see us out and about naming off random objects it is completely normal, just my daughters very curious little mind. On the rare occasion I don't have my daughter I'm usually with my closest friends enjoying my down time.
