I went to school at Riverside Community College in CA for cosmetology. I trained with Aveda and Paul Mitchel learning their concepts and technique. I've continued to do extended education in the 10+ years that I've been in this industry. After moving to Springfield two years ago, I have been focusing on being a mom to my now four year old son. We love Missouri for its greenery and affordable housing. The only thing that was missing from my life was my trade that I have loved for all these years. Being in a salon again is the thing that was missing to finally make this place home.
My strength is in my attention to detail. My ability to listen and understand what my guests goals are for their hair. I specialize in precision hair cutting, highlighting and dimensional hair color.
What draws you to the beauty industry?
I believe that self care is important. Create an atmosphere around you that feels good. Whether that is removing clutter or beautiful decor that is set to your personality, a hair color and cut that you love and the products that make you feel special. I believe that you feel your best when you have attended to yourself
When someone is in my chair I appreciate the fact that they're doing something for themselves to feel good. I want to make sure that it's a good experience. My hope is to exceed my guests expectations and introduce them to their new favorite hair product.
What has kept you in this industry?
I've stayed in this industry for over ten years by growing and evolving. I'm also a creative thinker. When I learn something that's especially effective I can apply that in creative ways to other areas.
