Ciera
Owner and Hairstylist
I always had an interest in hair but didn’t find my true passion for the craft until I started school then I found my love for the people and industry at Indie Blue. I started doing hair in March of 2016. I then graduated from the Academy of Hair Design in February of 2017. I immediately started at Indie Blue and it’s been my home away from home ever since. I have got to travel for education all over the midwest. I have met so many wonderful people and got to learn so much over the years. Not only about hair, but myself, and people in general.
Being a hairstylist puts me in such a unique situation. I get to meet and talk to so many different people and learn about so many different things. All while changing not only their hair but the way they look and feel about themselves, and that’s a beautiful thing.
I have had a chance to learn many different things over the years. I have taken classes on ‘bob’ haircuts, long layered haircuts, shags, precision cutting, dry cutting, and bang cutting. I have also taken classes on balayage and foiling involving placement, lifting, and toning. I have done a lot of education and research on different color lines including Paul Mitchell, Pulp Riot, Oligo, and Redken. I am also educated in hair care products like Olaplex, ColorProof, Paul Mitchell, and Amika. I am also certified in Brazilian Blowouts.
The health of your hair is my number one priority! I will do everything in my power to keep the integrity of your hair. I will give you my recommendation on what I think would be best for your hair. I found that I love lived-in colors such as balayage and foilyage. I am also a sucker for a beautiful redhead. I am confident we can find the best solution for your hair through color, haircutting, and styling. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone’s hair and heart that sits in my chair. Let’s make your hair dreams come true!
